Wooden windows
Wooden windows - natural beauty and modern technology
Wooden windows are synonymous with elegance, durability and natural warmth. Despite the dynamic development of PVC and aluminum technology, wooden joinery remains invariably valued – both in classic and modern architecture. Thanks to the use of modern production methods, today’s wooden windows are solutions with high insulation, durability and aesthetics, which meet the requirements of even the most demanding investors.
Wood – a material with unique properties
Selected wood species are used for window production, most often: pine, meranti, oak, spruce or Siberian larch. Layered wood (3- or 4-layer) minimizes the risk of warping and ensures structural stability even with large door leaf dimensions. The natural wood structure not only perfectly insulates heat, but also has a positive effect on the interior microclimate.
High-quality impregnants and water-based varnishes protect the surface of the profiles against moisture, UV radiation and contamination. Importantly, wooden windows are easy to renovate – they can serve for decades, maintaining their aesthetic and functional properties.
Energy efficiency and sound insulation
Modern wooden windows offer very good thermal insulation – the Uw coefficient can reach values below 0.9 W/m²K, meeting the requirements for passive construction. This is possible thanks to the use of triple glazing units, warm spacer bars, and deep wooden profiles with a thickness of up to 92 mm.
These windows perfectly muffle outside sounds, making them an ideal choice for buildings located on busy streets, railway tracks or in city centers.
Functionality and modern solutions
Today’s wooden windows are as functional as PVC and aluminium solutions. They are equipped with modern perimeter fittings that ensure easy and safe use: tilt and turn sashes, micro-ventilation, tilt gradation, incorrect handle position lock or anti-burglary catches.
It is also possible to order wooden-aluminium windows, where the inner part is natural wood and the outer part is an aluminium overlay. This combination provides greater resistance to weather conditions without sacrificing the aesthetics of wood in the interior.
Style and individual character
Wood offers huge possibilities for personalization – from the choice of species and grain, through the color of the varnish, to the carpentry details and decorative elements (e.g. glazing beads, glazing bars or carvings). Wooden windows fit perfectly into both traditional facades (e.g. manor-style houses) and modern designs with minimalist aesthetics. The natural material gives the interior a cozy and unique character.
Wooden windows – an investment for years
Choosing wooden windows is not only an aesthetic decision, but above all a conscious choice of natural, durable and energy-saving solutions. It is an investment in comfort, health and quality of life – regardless of whether you are building a house from scratch or modernizing a historic tenement house.
